This Privacy Policy explains what information The Life System (the “App,” “we,” “us”) collects, how we use and store it, and the choices you have. By using the App you agree to this Policy.
The Life System is a mobile application that helps you plan and track your health and your personal finances in one place. If you have any questions about this Policy or your data, contact us at support@thelifesystemapp.com.
We only collect information that is needed to run the App and build your plans. Almost all of it is information you choose to enter.
If you use the “find nearby stores” feature, the App requests your device location and sends your coordinates to Google (Google Places) to return nearby results. We use it only for that request and do not store your location. If you never use that feature, we never request your location.
We use Google Firebase Performance Monitoring, which collects technical app-performance data (such as load times and network response times) to help us keep the App running well. We do not use advertising, analytics-profiling, or crash-tracking SDKs, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.
To show your daily steps, the App reads step counts from your device’s motion sensor while the App is open, using a live on-device stream. We do not collect your steps in the background, and we do not access any other motion or fitness data. You can deny or revoke this permission in your device settings at any time; the rest of the App still works.
Your plans are generated from your own inputs and fixed assumptions. We do not use your data to train advertising models or sell you unrelated products.
Your data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore and your sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication. Access is protected by owner-scoped security rules, which mean that only your signed-in account can read or write your data. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and processed on servers in the United States.
We rely on a small number of service providers (“processors”) strictly to run the App:
All purchases and subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play through RevenueCat. We never receive or store your credit-card or payment-method details.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising. We disclose information only to the processors listed above as needed to run the App, or if required by law, legal process, or to protect rights and safety.
We keep your information for as long as your account exists. The App includes a Delete Account feature (Settings → Delete Account). Using it permanently and irreversibly deletes your account and all of your associated data — your profile, health data, financial data, debts, bills, payments, workouts, and feedback — and your authentication record. This cannot be undone.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Our legal basis for processing is your consent and the performance of our agreement with you (providing the App). You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account, and you may lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request access to or deletion of it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA. To exercise these rights, use the in-app Delete Account feature or contact us at the email above.
The App is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 years old to use it (see our Terms of Service), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.
We protect your data with owner-scoped access rules and encryption in transit. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your information is processed and stored in the United States. By using the App, you understand that your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
